PASSIONATE, INSPIRED, SUSTAINABLE: WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR YOU?
Passion is like “feeling” that you are an additional, univocal part of the company, and, at the moment at which you move away from this direction, you feel the force of attraction and you return towards the source. Inspiration is constantly moving forwards for the company’s better future, looking towards times ahead with the greatest possible commitment. The group’s sustainability has different aspects, not just in terms of ecology: it enables us to have, and see, a better future, not just for people or the company, but for the entire social structure around us.
WHICH ARE THE MILESTONES OF STREPARAVA’S SUCCESS OVER THE LAST 70 YEARS?
During my experience in the company, I have seen and shared many milestones linked to different aspects, both positive and negative, that contributed to the group’s growth.
For example:

In 1996, the year in which my experience at the company began, there was just the Adro headquarters. Over the course of the years, through the entire group’s direct or indirect efforts, we have progressed to having seven manufacturing units; the positive decision was to open them on the basis of careful analyses, so that they were aligned with group necessities.

In the third four-month period of 2008, the crisis led to the development of the concept that it is important to be united, to be methodical, to have a sense of timing, assessing each individual moment with a series of hypotheses, adapting them in accordance with the moment at which we are living, working according to short-term projections.
WHAT IS IT THAT SETS STREPARAVA APART FROM OTHER COMPANIES IN THE SAME SECTOR?
The things that set us apart from the others cannot be summarised in just single aspects: they have to be considered overall. For example, being a group of individuals, and not a set of functions, so that we all provide mutual support.
THE YEAR 2020 HAS RADICALLY CHANGED THE WORLD OF WORK. HOW HAS IT AFFECTED STREPARAVA’S ACTIVITIES?
Negatively in terms of the lack of physical contact (being able to look a person in the eye, shake hands), and positively, because in these times of hardship we have been able to develop, moving forwards with important projects, without losing our vision of the company’s future.
WHAT GIVES YOU MOST PRIDE IN YOUR WORK AT STREPARAVA?
The fact that I have colleagues who work well together, and that in the moment of need, no-one is left out. The fact that we are an extended family.
WHAT IS THE MOST OBVIOUS AND EFFECTIVE TECHNOLOGICAL IMPROVEMENT TO HAVE BEEN DEVISED BY STREPARAVA?
Trying to be flexible in our logic, and identifying a common denominator amongst the innumerable details that are manufactured and/or assembled every day, endeavouring to implement the most advanced technology, with continuous learning courses for the entire staff.
OVER THE YEARS, WHAT DO YOU THINK HAS BEEN THE BEST INVESTMENT?
There is not just one, but a variety, of such decisions:
-
progressing from supplying solely components for commercial vehicles, to the ability to supply products for other segments as well: agriculture, premium vehicles, etc.;

adding the production of new components with respect to the range manufactured in the 1990s;
-
endeavouring to verticalise production.
